I attended UW Whitewater and graduated in 2001 with a license in both special education and general education.
I have been teaching since 2001. I worked in the West Allis-West Milwaukee school district for 7 years. I taught K-2 special education.
I was welcomed to Washington Caldwell in 2008. We have a wonderful Special Education Department. We all work together by either supporting students in the general education classroom or providing instruction in an alternate location. Mrs. Wood, Mrs. Kester, Ms. Jackson, Ms. Smith, Ms. Bluhm, Ms. Horner, Ms. Bragg, Ms. Jess and myself strive to make sure that students are given the tools they need to be successful.
My husband and I live in Mukwonago with our 4 children. Maddox is in his 4th year at UW-LAX working towards becoming a Clinical Lab scientist. Ryland just graduated and is working for Pieper Electric. Asher is a sophomore who swims and plays volleyball for the high school. Greyson is in 7th grade and plays baseball and basketball. They keep me very busy with their activities and are all officially taller than me.
When I'm not teaching, I enjoy going to watch the Brewers and Bucks, attending the younger boys' sporting events, and just being outside.
